Kathmandu. The Embassy of Russia in Nepal celebrated Russia Day by organizing a special ceremony in Kathmandu. The chief guest was Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav.
On behalf of Nepal, the Vice President conveyed congratulations through His Excellency the Ambassador Aleksei Vladimirovich. Addressing the gathering, His Excellency Aleksei Vladimirovich the Russian Ambassador to Nepal spoke about the long-standing friendly relations between Nepal and Russia. He recalled the cooperation between the two countries in diplomatic, economic, educational, cultural, and infrastructure development sectors, highlighting Russia’s contributions in various fields of Nepal.
His Excellency expressed confidence that Nepal–Russia relations would be further strengthened and expanded in the coming days, and stated that mutual cooperation between the two countries would contribute to shared interests and prosperity. Recently, through the Vice President, His Excellency the Ambassador proposed Russia’s assistance to make the closed Janakpur Cigarette Factory and Hetauda Textile Factory operational again.
The Russian Day program was attended by senior officials of the Government of Nepal, representatives of diplomatic missions, leaders of political parties, journalists, businesspersons, and distinguished personalities from various sectors.
To make the Russian Day program more attractive, artists from Russia gave musical performances. The performances were warmly appreciated by the guests. Songs and music reflecting Russian culture added special charm to the program, and the lively rendition of Nepali songs was also captivating.
According to the Embassy, the program, organized with the aim of further strengthening the historical friendship and cultural relations between Nepal and Russia, concluded in a cordial atmosphere.
काठमाडौंमा रसिया दिवस
काठमाडौं । नेपालस्थित रसियन दूतावासले काठमाडौंमा विशेष समारोह आयोजना गरी रसिया दिवस मनाएको छ । प्रमुख अतिथि थिए– उपराष्ट्रपति रामसहायप्रसाद यादव।
नेपालका तर्फबाट उपराष्ट्रपतिले महामहिम राजदूतमार्फत बधाई दिएपछि सम्बोधन गर्दै नेपालका लागि महामहिम रसियन राजदूतले नेपाल र रसियाबीचको लामो समयदेखिको मैत्रीपूर्ण सम्बन्धबारे चर्चा गरेका थिए। उनले दुई देशबीच कूटनीतिक, आर्थिक, शैक्षिक, सांस्कृतिक तथा पूर्वाधार विकासका क्षेत्रमा भएको सहकार्यको स्मरण गर्दै नेपालका विभिन्न क्षेत्रमा रसियाले पु¥याएको योगदानबारे प्रकाश पारेका थिए । महामहिम राजदूतले नेपाल–रसिया सम्बन्ध आगामी दिनमा अझ सुदृढ र विस्तार हुँदै जाने विश्वास व्यक्त गर्दै दुई देशबीचको आपसी सहयोगले पारस्परिक हित र समृद्धिमा योगदान पु¥याउने बताए। हालै उपराष्ट्रपति मार्फत महामहिम राजदूतद्वारा बन्द रहेको जनकपुर चुरोट र हेटौडा कपडा कारखाना सञ्चालनयोग्य बनाउन रुसले सहयोग गर्ने प्रस्ताव गरिएको छ ।
रसियन डे कार्यक्रममा नेपाल सरकारका उच्च पदस्थ अधिकारी, कूटनीतिक नियोगका प्रतिनिधि, राजनीतिक दलका नेता, पत्रकार, व्यवसायी तथा विभिन्न क्षेत्रका विशिष्ट व्यक्तित्वहरूको उपस्थिति थियो ।
रसियन डे कार्यक्रम थप आकर्षक बनाउन रसियाबाट आएका कलाकारहरूले सांगीतिक प्रस्तुति दिएका थिए। कलाकारहरूको प्रस्तुति उपस्थित अतिथिहरूले निकै रुचिपूर्वक अवलोकन गरेका थिए। रसियन सांस्कृतिक झल्को दिने गीत तथा संगीतले कार्यक्रममा विशेष रौनक त थियो नै, जोशिलो शैलीमा नेपाली गीत पनि गाएका थिए, जुन चित्ताकर्षक रहेको थियो ।
नेपाल र रसियाबीचको ऐतिहासिक मित्रता तथा सांस्कृतिक सम्बन्धलाई थप मजबुत बनाउने उद्देश्यले आयोजित उक्त कार्यक्रम सौहार्दपूर्ण वातावरणमा सम्पन्न भएको दूतावासले जनाएको छ ।
