The Markichowk and Mulpani substations were successfully inaugurated during the visit of Asian Development Bank President, Mr. Masato Kanda, to the Load Dispatch Center of Nepal Electricity Authority in Kathmandu, together with the Hon. Minister of Energy Water Resource and Irrigation, Mr. Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, and Ambassador Dagny Mjøs.
Supported by ADB and Norway, these new substations will help improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply in Kathmandu and other major demand centers, while supporting Nepal's growing energy sector and expanding opportunities for regional power trade.
