Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet forces are busy staging madcap joint military drills for aggression with more than 300 000 troops, U.S. nuclear carrier Carl Vinson and B-1B and other nuclear strategic assets involved.
The on-going saber-rattling under the simulated conditions of an actual war assumes more serious nature as its goal is to carry out the "special operation" aimed to eliminate in advance "the person" of the DPRK with "the right to issue an order" and destroy major strategic targets for the purpose of checking the rapid bolstering of nuclear deterrent of the army and people of the DPRK and depriving it of the right to use nukes.
At least 3 000 U.S. troops or treble those involved last year are taking part in the "special operation" being conducted as part of the rehearsals. They include the Ranger Unit of the 75th Airborne Regiment of the U.S. Army, the Green Berets Special Units Nos. 1 and 19, the 353rd Special Warfare Corps of the Air Force, the 1st, 3rd 5th and 7th teams of the First Special Warfare Corps of the Navy, two battalions of the First Stryker Brigade of the 25th Division of the Army, one battalion of the 66th Armored Regiment and the 31st Naval Expedition Corps of the Marines.
A particular mention should be made of the fact that Navy Seal and Delta Force belonging to the joint special warfare headquarters called "detached force of the White House" are hurled into the "operation" at the direct instruction of the U.S. president. The U.S. imperialists and the south Korean warmongers do not hide the fact that the scenario of the "special operation" being staged by the ill-famed units is mainly aimed at carrying out the "beheading operation" for "removing the headquarters of the north" and the "preemptive attack" operation for blowing up the nuclear and rocket bases.
Through a spokesman's warning statement, the General Staff of the Korean People's Army (KPA) on Sunday said that all moves assume more dangerous adventurous nature as they are nothing but last-ditch efforts and final gambling of the U.S. imperialists and the puppet military warmongers who are fated to meet destruction owing to the total bankruptcy of the hostile policy toward the DPRK and the policy of confrontation with the compatriots in the north. And it further said:
The General Staff of the KPA warns the hideous provocateurs as follows with regard to the situation that has reached an extreme phase which should not be overlooked:
1. The General Staff declares the KPA's stand to mercilessly smash the enemy's moves with its own style of special operation and preemptive attack, now that the sinister aim of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean war maniacs' "special operation" to hurt the dignity of the DPRK's supreme leadership has become clear and they disclosed even the dangerous attempt at "preemptive attack."
They are sadly mistaken if their brigandish "special operation" and "preemptive strike" would work on this land guarded by the powerful revolutionary Paektusan army though they claim they proved successful in other countries and regions.
2. They should be mindful that the KPA will deal deadly blows without prior warning any time as long as the operation means and troops of the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces involved in the "special operation" and "preemptive attack" targeting the DPRK remain deployed in and around south Korea.
The KPA will not remain a passive onlooker to hordes of robbers trying to hurt our people with daggers.
3. Once the enemy launches the said "operation and strike", they will only bring about a historic event in which the U.S. imperialists will face a miserable doom and the south Korean puppet forces a final ruin.
It is the centuries-old tragedy that the U.S. and the south Korean forces still don't know how foolish and futile their attempts to hurt the supreme leadership of the DPRK and infringe upon its sovereignty are, though they have stood in standoff with the latter for decades.
They should think twice about the catastrophic consequences to be entailed by their outrageous military actions.

U.S. Hard-line Conservative Congressmen's Outbursts under Fire
Pyongyang, March 28 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave the following answer to the question raised by KCNA on Tuesday as regards the invectives spouted by some conservative hawks of the U.S. Congress to hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK:
On March 21 Ted Cruz and other conservative hawks of the U.S. Senate, submitting a bill on re-listing the DPRK as "terror-sponsor", hurled mud at its supreme leadership.
On March 22 John McCain, chairman of the Armed Services Committee of the Senate, at a press interview again hurt its dignity.
What they uttered to dare hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK is just a manifestation of their worst hostility toward the DPRK's ideology and social system and its people and a grave provocation little short of declaration of war against it.
The service personnel and people of the DPRK are regarding the dignity of their supreme leadership as their life and soul.
The U.S. must know very well about how they react to any offensive acts against it.
As such guys as John McCain and Ted Cruz made a provocation tantamount to declaration of war against the DPRK, the DPRK will take steps to counter it.
They will have to bitterly experience the disastrous consequences to be entailed by their reckless tongue-lashing and then any regret for it will come too late.
They will have to be entirely responsible for their foolhardy tongue-lashing.
It is, indeed, a burlesque making even a cat laugh for the dishonest elements of the U.S., the mastermind of all forms of terrorism worldwide, to label other country "terror-sponsor".
Explicitly speaking once again, the revolutionary forces of the DPRK with its nuclear force for self-defence as its pivot will fulfill its sacred mission of devotedly defending its supreme leadership representing the destiny and life of its people by dealing a merciless sledge-hammer blow at those daring hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership like a puppy knowing no fear of the tiger. -0-

Korean Lawyers Committee Sheds Light
on Criminal Truth
The Korean Lawyers Committee released a white paper on Thursday to shed light on the background of the illegal "sanctions resolutions" cooked up by the UN Security Council against sovereign states and absurdity of the legal grounds claimed by the UN Secretariat.
According to the white paper, the history of sanctions of the UN is a history of crimes tainted with high-handedness and arbitrariness.
The white paper says:
The first sanctions resolution in the UN history was the "resolution 232" that the UNSC adopted on December 16, 1966 under the instigation of the United States, taking issue with the declaration of independence of the former Rhodesia (today's Zimbabwe) as a threat to international peace and security.
There continued criticism of the excessive use of authority of the UN Security Council that began with adoption of the sanctions resolution against Rhodesia. This notwithstanding, the United States with a view to overthrowing those unfavorable countries mobilized the UN Security Council to manipulate the sanctions resolutions one after another on Iraq in 1990, Yugoslavia in 1991 and Libya, Cambodia, Somalia, Liberia and Rwanda in 1992.
The "sanctions resolutions" of the UN against the DPRK are criminal documents devoid of legality, morality and impartiality.
The UNSC started its scandalous path taking side with the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK by fabricating its "Resolution 82", "Resolution 83", and "Resolution 84" that "legalized" the aggression war of the U.S. imperialists against the DPRK in the 1950s and the participation of the "UN forces" therein.
The rackets of the UNSC adopting "sanctions resolutions" against the DPRK are reaching extremes today with a starting point of the "Resolution 825" railroaded to withhold its decision to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT) in May 1993 and force it to return to cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Last year, too, the UNSC under instigation of the U.S. again committed the acts of arrogation and violation of the DPRK's sovereignty by manipulating the "sanctions resolutions" 2270 and 2321 while reviling the DPRK's H-bomb test and explosion test of nuclear warhead to safeguard its sovereignty as a "threat" to international peace and security.
The DPRK's nuclear tests and ballistic missile launches are just and righteous self-defensive measures to safeguard the sovereignty and right to existence to cope with the nuclear threat of the U.S. persisting for more than half a century and they do not run counter to any international law including Article 51 (right to self-defense) of the UN Charter.
A forum of international legal experts to clarify legal ground of the UN "sanctions resolutions" against the DPRK should be organized immediately.
The UN "sanctions resolutions" against the DPRK are not the issue confined to the DPRK alone.
As the UN history spanning more than 70 years shows, if the DPRK became the target of UN "sanctions" today, another state will become their target tomorrow.
The prevailing reality fully shows that organizing the forum of international legal experts to investigate the legal ground of ''sanctions resolutions'' is all the more pressing.
The forum of international legal experts is the place where the legality of "sanctions resolutions" can be clarified fairly from the international law perspective.
On March 13, 2017, the permanent mission of the DPRK to the UN proposed the UN Secretariat that governmental and non-governmental experts from all states and international legal organizations attend the forum as they wish and the agenda of the forum be agreed upon reasonably in full reflection of the wishes and opinions of the attendants.
The UN Secretariat should, in accordance with its basic mission of maintaining international peace and security, fulfill its responsibility before the international community by positively responding to this proposal on organizing the forum of international legal experts to clarify the legal ground of the "sanctions resolutions" against the DPRK.
