February 16, 2025 marks the 83rd Birth Anniversary of Comrade KIM JONG IL, a great leader and the Shining Star of the Korean people.
April 15 is another historically significant day for the Korean people as well as for the entire Progressive and peace-loving people around the world and this year they shall be celebrating it as the “Day of the Sun’” as it happens to the 113th Birth Anniversary of respected President KIM IL SUNG, the Sun of Korea.
President KIM IL SUNG was a great revolutionary outstanding leader, peerlessly patriots, talented military strategist and benevolent father of the Korean people who embarked to the revolution already in his teens and devoted whole his life to the emancipation and liberation of the Korean people from the cruel Japanese military rule and marched forward opening up a shining chapter in the history of the liberation struggle of mankind winning boundless respect and trust from the progressive people of the planet.
We all know that Comrade KIM JONG IL was born on February 16, 1942 at a secret camp in Mount Paektu, a major base of the armed struggle. At that time the guerrillas inscribed such slogans as “Heir to General KIM IL SUNG born on Mt. Paektu: O Korea and compatriots, we inform you of the birth of the Shining Star of Paektu and the birth of the Shining Start of Paektu is the honor of Korea!”
True to the expectation and desire of the Korean people Comrade KIM JONG IL became the Shining Star adding the glory to Korea and carrying forward President KIM IL SUNG’s cause which was Leader KIM JONG IL’s life-long mission.
The Korean people observe these two occasions as the nation's highest celebrations which the world people campaigner of peace, justice, independence, dignity, and democracy also celebrate them as great occasions.
To celebrate these two auspicious occasions of our friendly country, we are delighted to broadcast the formation of a 17-member “Nepal National Preparatory Committee to Commemorate the "Sun’s Day and the Day of the Shining Star” under the Chairmanship of Comrade C.P. Mainali, Chairman of Nepal-Korea Friendship Association, General Secretary of Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist-Leninist) and Former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal with prominent figures from friendship and people’s organizations dedicated to deepening the friendship between Nepal and Korea as its members and Secretary.
The Nepal National Preparatory Committee shall organize celebration functions to mark these historical occasions and conduct activities aimed at highlighting the life and immortal achievements made by Respected President KIM IL SUNG and Comrade KIM JONG IL.
