On the occasion of the 77th anniversary programme- Former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, CPN- Marxist–Leninist (ML) General Secretary C.P. Mainali, Phanindra Raj Pant, a Secretariat Member of APRCFSKP (Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People), Maoists and other leftists activists Chiranjibi dhakal, madan Kumar, Pabitra aacharya, deepa Joshi, dr.Sujan kadaria, Mahesh, Prem Shrestha, Saraswoti Karki, Jhankar Bista, Journalist Rajan Karki also participated.
Phanindra Pant elaborated on the founding of the nation, the sacrifices of the Korean people, and the glorious struggle of Kim Il Sung.
Former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, also recalled his visit to the DPRK under challenging circumstances, highlighting his appeal for unity and peace.
“When preparations for the visit to the DPRK were underway, then-Prime Minister KP Oli, as well as Japanese and American ambassadors in Nepal, tried to dissuade me with threats. But I challenged them and went ahead. My visit was for peace and coexistence,” said Chairman Nepal.
CPN- Marxist–Leninist (ML) General Secretary C.P. Mainali also extended greetings on the 77th anniversary of the DPRK’s founding. Praising the dedication and sacrifice of the Korean people, he recalled his multiple visits to the DPRK and remembered founding leader Kim Il Sung.
To mark the occasion, ILSY also decided to send an official message of solidarity on behalf of the organization.
