Deputy Chief of Mission Scott Urbom joined Hon. Minister of Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel at the Freedom250 Fulbright Symposium to celebrate 80 years of the Fulbright Program connecting Americans and Nepalis across classrooms, research labs, and communities. With a legacy of nearly 80 years and nearly 450,000 alumni globally, the Fulbright Program has driven scientific breakthroughs, launched innovative enterprises, advanced diplomacy, and led vital industries. It also builds lasting bridges between our two nations. To the returning Nepali grantees: your invaluable experience in the United States is an asset for both our countries as you bring America’s world-class learning and innovation back home. To the newly arrived American participants: you are now part of a strategic investment that generates knowledge, strengthens industries, and creates opportunities that benefit Americans at home and abroad.
